I have had two phone calls on my mobile from "Jason" in the past month claiming to be a past client of mine who came for a psychic reading. He had a soft pleasant voice and there was noise in the background that sounded like he was in an office or something like that.
In the first call, he started off by saying how the predictions I gave worked out for him and he left his old girlfriend and is seeing another and he asked how I was. This ruse is easy to phish for personal information. He kept eluding to how he likes older women, and then he subtly led to his physique and prowess. When this started, I was about to end the call when the call dropped out. I sms'd back wishing him a good day and ended the conversation. He phoned back a few minutes latter and wanted to continue the conversation. I mentioned I had already smsd him back to end the call but by the sound of his voice, he never received it. (red flag here -he didn't get the call so this is not his mobile) He then hung up abruptly.
I spoke with another psychic friend and he phoned her with the same story a day latter. We thought it was a sex prank caller as that does happen.
He rang back about 2 weeks latter and asked if I recalled him from that call and started to chat me up again. I told him I recalled that call but don't recall him as a client of mine. I asked how can I help (did he want a reading???) and he then hung up. The same office noise was in the background.
Now I've receive a scam sms from "Dun & Bradstreet" I'm wondering if these scams are related???
