Had a call from this number, the voice on other end sounded like a young Indian male telling me he was from Telstra and some one was going to hack my internet. I ended the call because I believe that it was him going to do damage. After going to the police station soon after the call I am pleased I was shown this website and am also going to send message through scam watch who report these matters to the federal police, which I must add are already aware of this.

Had one of these calls today, claim to be from 242 Exhibition Street, I quizzed them, yes, we are from the Telstra building. Claimed I had an internet problem and he was going to fix it. I suggested to the gentleman that we call his mother because she has an internet problem, he told to F,,k Off and hung up on me.
The are spoofing the Phone number, so the number being displayed is a number that Optus has disconnected..... When are our Authorities going to put things in place to stop these scammers!!!

I only just finished posted a comment on here about the Indian scammers and I received another call. This time a private number but giving the same story - Telstra is about to turn off your internet in two hours etc etc....
I said I was just reading about this scam on the internet, so how does he reply? He calls me a motherf*cker and abuses me. Right. I'm the a***hole because I won't fall for the scam.
Thick Indian accent from a guy named "John". Right.

Scam artist targeting Telstra customers. Claims he needs access to your computer for a "sting operation" and asks for bank details and for money to be sent from your account through 7/11.
