Received a text just now (3.37pm 09.04.2019) stating "IPA - confirmed for 5am start tomorrow at Aust. Post. Thanks!" IPA is a recruitment firm I've applied for a role with (but not with Australia Post). definitely dodgy. have blocked number. I knew it was dodgy when it mentioned the 5am start (I work in communications - we don't get out of bed before 6! joke!

Caller: 0427 010 372 Received text from this number confirming my work days for the 6th November so that my pay was not rejected. Unfortunately, it was entirely possible that it was authentic as I usually do work Tuesdays but changed my days due to Melbourne Cup so I replied!!! Can anyone shed light as to what I've let myself in for??? Have since blocked the number.

Caller: Text message Harassing Spam Message "Please confirm if you worked the public holiday Tues 06/11 as per your timesheet? If you didn't your timesheet will be rejected and need to ament. VIC PAYROLL"
I checked my employer and they confirmed they didn't send this, then googled to find this entry. Don't work for these people and never have, this is SPAM of the most vile. Listing it here but complaint also going in to ACMA and police for phishing attempted ID theft. I recommend you all do the same, enough noise and police will get involved and stop them.

Caller: Unidentified SMS I received a text message today: “Please confirm if you worked the public holiday Tues 06/11 as per your timesheet? If you didnt your timesheet will be rejected and need to amend. VIC PAYROLL” Firstly, I’ve never worked in Victoria. Secondly, I haven’t needed to complete a timesheet in months. Thirdly, it wasn’t a public holiday on 6/11 where I was.
No idea who this is or what they want. May well have been a wrong number text, but suspicious still.
