Caller: ncml a debt collection company apparently

I have been receiving almost daily calls from this number or from number unknown
saying they have an important matter to discuss and to call back to 1300 281 408.
they have texted same thing, and left voice messages. They never specify what the "matter" is and if it was that urgent they would send email or post as well. It is suspicious to me.

Received a text asking me to call back (03) 8643 5555 quoting reference 7973061. After looking here first i dont think i will be calling back.

I have gotten two texts from this number saying that they are trying to contact me to discuss outstanding fines with the South Australian Fines Enforcement Unit and that I could lose my license. The problem is I dont live in South Australia, nor have I ever driven in South Australia. Scam?

Same again today. I checked here first. I didn't call them or reply to the SMS!

I thought it was important too since they send a SMS after a call from a Sydney number. But then I see someone write this comment, "Please call 1300 281 408 quoting reference 7889894"

Oddly I got a similar reference number, coincidence or scam?

Scam. Texted saying “We have an important matter to discuss with you. Please call 1300 281 408 quoting reference 7756789”

This number sent a message that said: "We have an important matter to discuss with you. Please call us on 1300 790 434 quoting reference 7746524." Possible scammer.
