Have just received a call from this number, they say they are from volunteer rescue magazine and want to talk about my advert in their magazine. I told them I have no idea who they are and would never advertise in something I have never heard of before. A few days ago they sent me a copy of their magazine with a photocopied a3 page stuck in the middle full of adverts for small businesses in the Tasmania. With an invoice for $214.50.

These ass-hats have called me several times. Same story as most with a request for an address to post me a magazine (usually an emergency service) that I supposedly advertised in.
They almost had me once and have tried several times since. Last time I told the lying bitch to go f*ck herself. She said no need to swear and I retorted with no need to scam honest people and businesses. When I find who these mofo's are, they'll need one of these emergency services of which they are falsely representing.
I also reported them to ScamWatch as well as the WA Police Fraud Division. The officer concerned said that most of these businesses are operating from Queensland and they are known to the Queensland Police force but closed and open shop to avoid being caught.

My husband got a call from this number, they knew his name and business details, they said that they were confirming his address for delivery of a magazine from Emergency Services Australia, which he had advertised in, and said it was costing him $220, and a distribution person would contact him soon. As he was busy at work, he gave our address to them. After hanging up, he realized he has not actually ever advertised in this magazine at all. Had never had a call or email about placing an ad in it. He called me and told me about it, I got the number off him and googled it. The only results google gave me needed translation from Italian and Japanese. Number is registered to a guy in Italy and I got his address too. I looked on other comments about number and same scam!! I looked on svamwatch and it is a scam!!:( Reporting to scam watch and ACCC!!
