Call centre calling in regards to federal govt rebates on residential solar installations

Called twice in 10 minutes. When i tried to return the first time optus advised the number was disconnected. Same number rang back. Really dodgy telemarketer. Said "Hello?" a bunch of times. Was careful of my choice of words in case the call was trying to record my voice (Avoided saying my name or the word 'Yes'). When he did speak he asked who I was (avoided saying my name in case recorded), then said i was a home owner and he was calling about a government solar rebate. I'm renting. Call quality was dodge and so was the caller.

Called me offering solar servicers, said no, hung up. Called immediately again asking why I hung up, told him I didn't need his service, and hung up. Called me back again and laughed at me when I told him I had just returned from hospital. Absolutely obnoxious, I will report him to his company if I can find it. Blocked number.

Missed calls - when I tried to call back got message saying Optus advises number no longer connected! Turns out it was a Telemarketing Co. Not happy at all - I have young adult children who sometimes have to borrow phones unfortunately - it created a worry for me whilst on the road and couldn't do anything until I got home. If I want Solar I will ring you!. Doubly annoying as I am on do not call list. So much for that.
