Caller: Credit Corp For the past 3-5 months I have been getting many calls from various mobile numbers as well as from a WA number. Thanks to this site I have been able to determine it is all Credit Corp. I am expecting an important call and I wish to turn off the feature that blocks unknown numbers so I called 2 of the numbers back. The first one hung up after 3 seconds. The second one had the same strange sound in the beginning but someone did pick up the call. I am writing this message to say that I was pleasantly surprised how kind and helpful the person on the other end was. It wasn't a call centre in some foreign country, and they were not rude. Apparently my number is linked to 2 accounts that were on their list. When I first got this number I was getting some SMS notifications about some debt but that soon stopped. Fast forward 2 years and I'm getting incessant calls! My number has apparently been taken off their list, both accounts. We will see if there is any truth to that.
But if you don't have a debt and don't understand why you are getting these calls, maybe try giving them a call to see if they can remove you.

Caller: 0420 959 265 They would not even tell me the name of the company. When he rang and asked if I was Joe blow and to confirm my dob, I responded with before I confirm anything I need you to tell me what company you work for and he refused. So I asked for a manager and he hung up on me. Do they legally need to tell me the company they work for if I request that information b4 giving out any of my details so I know im actually talking to a debt collector agency

Caller: Retards No matter what these retards say to you on the phone.. DO NOT tell them anything. Don't admit you owe money, don't say anything. Best thing to do is don't even answer the call and block the number. Look up the number after they have stopped calling for 5 minutes, take a look around google and see who it belongs to or if it comes back to this site, then you'll know if it's these retards or someone you know

Caller: Credit corp Nope they took mine to court apparently so I found out when getting a ruling from magistrate court didn’t even know about it wasn’t served. The debt they were claiming I had no knowledge of weather it was wrong person or just made up completely who knows but definitely wasn’t mine I had debts yeah but that wasn’t one of them court awarded them the debt and recalculated it to whatever costs they added now it is 10x the amount of the fake/bogus/magic debt I never had that is now legally mine apparently. Biggest scam this side of china. Just because they aren’t using weapons doesn’t make them any less criminals at least getting robbed in the street they actually have to be there in person not a wolf in sheep’s clothing picking out names on a list to rob and never even have to know who they are robbing, you deceive no one you are criminals just more pathetic hiding behind your computer hoping no1 realises you are the worst kind of evil.

That’s not the point. Arnt you reading the comments properly. It’s not about suggesting how good of a person you are because you own up to your responsibilities. It’s about they do have a right to call you but not twice of 3 times a day especially not more than twice a week. Also some commmets explain that they have told debt collectors what they can only contribute per week and they are still not satisfied with $20 per week or even $5 per week. That is when the the debt collectors are in the worng. Look around you Australia’s has sky rocketed with petrol, food and especially rent. So please don’t tell me they are doing the job. They are not doing it properly and following protocol.

Returned missed call. Couldn't understand a word the girl said. Very strong accent. Something about a text message they had sent. Never received any message. Time wasters.

When they purchase the debt from the supplier then you are no longer responsible for that debt because they have now paid it off. They attempt to extort money from you in order to recoup their money and also make money because they buy the debt for cents in the dollar. They attempt to tell you it was assigned when in almost all cases they are bought. It cannot be both a sale and an assignment. Perhaps you should do more research but hey if you want to keep paying those seagulls go right ahead.

Caller: Credit Corp Credit Corp continually chase you for supposedly unpaid debts that they have purchased from a finance company for as little as 4c in every debt dollar you supposedly owe. So for a $1000 debt they have purchased for as little as $40. Never ever ring them back as your credit year blacklist will start again. Your debt gets wiped after 7 years if you don't make any contact with them. Block their number but they will continually ring you on other phone numbers that they have a rotation of hundreds of landlines & mobile phone numbers they use. Rule of thumb is never answer any phone calls from people you don't know if they aren't in your address book.
