I got a message from this number say my verification number even though I didn't request one so I checked and verified my number again with uber and 0419 385 051 messaged me my code and it worked

I am getting these in the middle of the night, when I have not ordered an UBER too. I have a friend who is an UBER driver so have asked him to find out more about this.

I got three msg's yesterday from this number with no ID provided. Another msg was from 'Uber' and was written/structured in the same way - Block and or AVOID. Report it as well.

I received a text message via this # yesterday , NO identification , advising my account verification # is .... & to enter it into "our" app to confirm your new account !!!!

How can we stop these unsolicited messages? I've had about ten "confirmation" messages so far - and yet I've never used Uber or had anything to do with them. It's getting creepy!

I've been getting these spam text messages from Uber since last October. How do we get them to stop?? I would never ever use that service.

Yes, text message says my Uber app account verification number is 3881. Trouble is, I have never had anything to do with Uber, and I don't have their app. Looks like a scam to me!
