Caller: Scam Caller ==> “Tax File Number frozen” I answered the call at 9:00am today, Thurs 13 May 2021. I said “Hello?” and it then clicked into pre-recorded message pretending to be from the Australian Government (Dept of Human Services) and saying that there had been “fraudulent activity” noticed on my bank account and as a result my “tax file number had been frozen”. I hung straight up after that. Checked my bank account after and it was absolutely fine. If you receive a pre-recorded message like this, hang up as fast as you can.
