Caller: Automated message in English Spoof of the Australian Taxation Office falsely claiming that the caller’s taxation account has been suspended, prompting the caller to stay on the line to hear their “legal case”. Similar to IRS scams in the United States; likely an attempt to trick callers into handing over money to scammers under the guise of “legal fees” associated with a fake court case.
