The most horrible experience of my life, I still get flashbacks sometimes of how badly I was treated and it makes me very angry and upset. Sometimes I think I should of gone to the police or something
I got a scoupon voucher (2 cuts and colours for $79) around Christmas time as my funds were low and I wanted to look nice for Christmas day. I arrived early just to be sure I got there on time, I waited for at least 35 minutes as my stylist was 'running late'. Once they were ready for me I only had 1 hr and 45 minutes before I started work, so I told them that I wouldn’t be able to get a colour this visit as I would be pushing time. WELL. They were not impressed, as they were going to do my colour first. I was very apologetic and before I could even ask what time I would be finished, they said they could do some shuffling around to fit me in for a cut (the receptionist was lovely and was relaying the messages). So I got JAMES, who did not even say hello, but I did hear him tell the girl who was going to give me a hand massage that she 'better be quick as I was in a rush'.. which was not the case. He then entered and asked what I was having done, I said Just above shoulder length and I was happy for him to use his imagination for styling. He then ordered me to the hair washing room, he used VERY hot and VERY cold water, sprayed it in my ears and down my back, and got shampoo in my eyes, when he massaged my head he dug his thumbs in to my temples which felt horrible and made me want to burst into tears, he was rough and pulling my head back and forward. I was so shocked that this was happening I thought maybe because he is a stylist he may not wash hair and to give him the benefit of the doubt. He led me back into the room (Heaven Salons has one client per boutique styling room). He didn’t talk to me, he didn’t even ask my name, he dried my hair roughly with a towel and then proceeded. My hair was long, about 2 inches longer then my bra strap and usually at the hair dresser the floor is covered in hair.
The receptionist came and told him his next customer was here so he just put down the scissors and left, 5 minutes later he returned and looked as if he was starting to pack up. I asked if it was going to be any shorter and he said 'well how short (rudely and bluntly)' and I replied (holding back tears) " just above my shoulders, like I asked’.
He was rough with my head pushing it forward and continued to cut it I was actually scared he was going to cut me on purpose. He did no layers or thinning just straight across the back at the length I asked. I was so upset at this point, It was almost Christmas and he was treating me like the scum of the earth.
He blow dried my hair pulling it hard with the brush and burning my scalp and ears with the blow drier, I honestly felt like I was being abused. I thought the point of scoupons was to get clients to rave on about what a great experience they had. Not be treated like crap just because they had a voucher. I wanted to say,’ its not my fault your sh*tty salon needed business’. No wonder they needed scoupons to get clients, James must of abused all the regulars.
When It was finished he just walked out and sat at the front desk and went on facebook. I asked to speak to the manager and just started balling my eyes out, which I never do, I never write reviews and I never complain at restaurants but this was an absolute joke. It was pretty much physical abuse, I had a massive headache from the way he treated me. She offered me a voucher to come back but I said I would never be returning and that I was only telling her for her company’s sake. I never went back for my second visit either. WHAT A HORRIBLE PLACE. NOBODY GO THERE! UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ABUSED.
