Caller: claims to be the national broadband network
and ringing because they identified my computer has been hacked and being used by people trying to steal my identity.
I get these pathetic calls every other day. I just laughed at the poor Indian lady who barely could speak English. She hung up on me. I feel disappointed that the scammers think they can fool me with these pathetic calls. I demand the scammers to become better so it not so obvious! Who on earth fall for this?!
Didn't recognise the number, no message left on machine as usual so presumed scammer, checked here and as I thought, pests This is a regular nuisance call re my computer . I let it run to answering machine and of course no message. Caller: NBN Scammer
I did a number lookup in the past, and was told this number belongs to a John Copland - though, I think the Scammer is fraudlently using the number or is spoofing it or it could be the case that John is the boss of the scam business.
Said my computer was something,I said I did'nt have a computer .he said I have your IP address..I insisted me no have one..Told me I was a Mother*******.then hung up.... Claims to be from the Australian broadband network and my phone will be cut off in 24 hours.
