Caller: Potential scammer - Vic Government Hot water upgrades

PLEASE BEWARE. An Indian sounding man named John called re Victorian government rebates for Hot Water replacement. When prompted to provide the company name he was calling from he advised he was calling from Smart Australian Services. Smart Australian Services Pty Ltd Do NOT appear in the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) list of Accredited providers for Water Heating Upgrades. Current details for ABN 69 610 273 062 SMART AUSTRALIAN SERVICES PTY LTD ABN status: Cancelled from 19 Jun 2020 and the Residential property listed as the business address as sold in 2021. This may or may not be a scam but if you are wanting to participate in the VEU programme for Energy Efficiency Upgrades, please visit the Vic governments VEU website for ACCREDITED providers details to ensure you are dealing with a legitimate authorised company.
