Rang about 10 times today alone, from various Melbourne numbers .Recorded msg says from amazon to confirm taking $7.99 from my bank account, if you want to cancel press 1.
On one occasion I followed ininstructions and pressed 1 (to see what the scam is).
I was put through then to an Indian chap. He wanted me at my laptop to download software that he spelled out to me. It was remote access software. At this point I had seen enough. I told him I knew what he was trying to do & had not downloaded it. He got more and more angry saying a scammer in the US was trying use my Amazon account for thousands of $.
As he insisted VERY ANGRILY, that I "have to" do what he is telling me.
I told him "I dont have to do nothing" and he hung up. LOL!
