Skimmed my details off hipages, trying “not sell me a website” but instead get me promoted to the front of Google. Hate these guys, stop wasting my time!

Very British sounding caller. Hung up after i asked repeatedly what he wanted.

Wants to promote business to Google top pages. Gets dodgy when asked what email he sent previously. Keeps repeating that the business should care that he wants to put us on the Top 3 for Google and if we don't do it now, the spot will go to someone else.

Call came upon my phone as "suspected spam" , so I decided to press the answer button but didn't speak. The caller didn't speak either, & after a few seconds they just hung up. I could hear muffled noises in the background so probably in a call centre. Blocked the number, can't be bothered with these idiots - as others have said, always trying to get you on page 1 of google, yeah yeah yeah!!

Wouldn’t bother answering. Spent 12 mins on the phone but still they were unable to explain how their own business works; was quite rude and stupid about my business. i think i know how my business operates better than u sweetiepie. Mentioned her own british accent that she must love to listen to because she didn’t even realise she was speaking to another british expat, goes to show how much they just wanna say their slop and not even listen to a question.

Caller: Google Map scammer

It was a lady who clicked on our Google Ad in search and called us selling Google Map services. cost us by clicking on our ads and wasted our time on top of that.

Caller: Didn’t answer.

Had a call from this number, I use the prompter feature to make them give a description of who’s calling - Said following up a letter sent to my business.. never received a letter, actually tried to ring the number and number wasn’t an active number. Red Flag city.

Unsolicated call from a man wanting to sell SEO rankings for google, claimed he'd sent me a postcard in the mail but listed to wrong suburb when I asked where it was sent to. Dishonest, timewasting anmd can't explain to me what it is he's actually selling and doesn't seem to know how marketing or SEO actually works. In the end when asked him directly what he was contacting me for, he became passive aggresive and said 'well don't worry about it then" and hung up.

Caller: English man named Alex

An English man named Alex called me. It’s pressing. He had left paper in my mail mailbox and that he’s calling to follow up around Google mapping to make my business come first up in Google. None of it made any sense. And it sounded like he was calling from a pub spent 3 mins on the phone now I’m very paranoid as what the call was about and why they called

Caller: Google SEO Service

They called me last week trying to promote pushing me to take up their SEO services, told them we have an inhouse digital marketer, their response was, well theu are pretty sh*t then if they can't get you to the top in your suburb!

My response was - well they clearly know my business better than you, as I am not suburb based and cover the whole of Melbourne, that's why your service doesn't work for me, please don't call again.

Got another call today, and told them I was called last week and asked you not to call me again, they apologised and hung up. Number now blocked.

Nadia called being kind and bright, but when I told her we weren't interested she put on her sarcastic nice voice and responded with "oh so you're not interested in something you don't even know yet, ok, tnxxxxx byeeee" and then proceeded to hang up. Nadia needs training in learning how to deal with rejection and not to take it personally, she's lacks professionalism.

I read all this comment here and noticed that the caller is sometimes a woman and sometimes a man. Definitely a spam.

When I politely informed them I wasn’t interested in whatever they were doing, they immediately hung up on me. I was so upset I didn’t get an opportunity to instead rudely hang up on them instead.

Called our business landline and hung up straight after I answered. Appears to be a scammer.

She said something about sending me a postcard and the background noise indicated a busy office. I run a therapy business and asked the caller if she wanted therapy. When she said no, I said I had to go.
