Caller: SCAMMER BEWARE!!!-This number left a message on my message bank claiming to be from the A.T.O saying they had suspended my tax identification number and they have filed a case under my name stating that I should contact them before the case goes to federal case court or I could get arrested. The A.T.O WILL NEVER THREATEN YOU WITH IMMEDIATE ARREST OR DEMAND PAYMENT THROUGH UNUSUAL MEANS. I did not follow up with their request to contact them obviously. The A.T.O website has information on their Scam Alerts page and there a latest report on Sept 2020 phone and sms scams-Fake Tax Debt, it also gives you a number to ring.
