I receive calls from this number multiple times a week. They are apparently working for NRMA Insurance. My car is insured through NRMA but they are trying to get me to change my house and contents insurance to them. No chance of that happening as they are quite pushy.

This is a small team in Queensland calling, even though an 03 number is used. They work for NRMA but use the same software for IAG's insurance brands in other states. So they have access to everything. Their role is to sell insurance and secure renewal payments. They usually only call existing customers and only if the customer has at one stage (within 12 months) expressed a desire to obtain a quote. Easy to forget about, right? If you call the number outside business hours it won't connect - because no one is there to answer. If they call you and it immediately drops out, that's a flaw with their calling software (I heard it was designed by Optus). This team can perform the exact same tasks as any NRMA inbound call centre operator. They're even in the same building in Brisbane as them.

They are calling me 3 times a week. Quite annoying. I am blocking the number. They said it is NRMA company.

I've been getting calls from this number constantly since I tried to do my tax on-line. Opened what looked like the real ATO site, put in all my details & was then asked to pay a fee out of my tax return. When I double checked it was a place called ETax.

I had a call this morning about my online quote for my car from NRMA Insurance. The identified and was asking all sorts of questions like date of birth of my children etc. I refused to provide any private information.I was told that it is all required to provide a better quote than online quote.
When I repeatedly refusing to provide private information, the line got cut.
I suggest let people be careful when providing private information, which is totally unnecessary. I was happy to mention ages of my kids but never their date of birth.

Had multiple calls today but no-one said anything. Just rang it and got an IAG message, so it's related to the NRMA payment I just made.

Just called my mobile AND landline. No one spoke when I answered my landline. And yes, I had just completed an insurance payment to NRMA/IAG via their website. Hope they don't call me again, especially if it's about marketing and I usually say "no" to these things. Not sure what anyone can do about it.

This is from IAG, which includes NRMA
If you've been playing around with online quotes for insurance they'll call you

Called me today, I didn't answer. No voicemail left so I called back only to be advised by Optus that the number is "disconnected". Right.. It's an outgoing phone call service and not an incoming I guess?

I just told them if its important.. mail me out details to address on file.. however they didnt want to do that.. sounds sounds suspect.. they were very keen to know my personal details.. dont give anything to them
