Caller: Supposedly Amazon Prime Australia Lady with non Australian accent called saying she was from Amazon Prime and that my subscription had expired. Did I want to renew it or cancel it? I said I would like to renew it but only if my subscription remained the same. She then again asked me if I would like to renew it and I gave her the same answer. She then proceeded to tell me that last month I had paid $39 (plus a number of cents which I didn't catch). Would I still like to renew it.? This set off the alarm bells as my subscription is a lot less than this, but the amount was the same as I had paid for a purchase two months before. I then told her I thought she was full of bullsh*t and trying to scam me and hung up on her.
Be very careful of callers who try several times to get you to get a "yes" answer from you and who have no idea what your normal subscription/payment is..
