Caller: See below

I own this telephone service, the provider being Optus, NOT Telstra. I have had numerous calls from pests with accents from the sub continent, mostly purporting to be from the Technical Desk at Telstra, or robot calls from the NBN threatening to disconnect my internet service. These pests ALWAYS address me by name, how do they know? I never engage in discussion with them, merely to tell them to go away. I am on the Do Not Call register which is known to have been compromised. I have reported many of these nuisance calls but just got tired of doing so as there were so many. I had a call from a lady unknown to me in my area on Tuesday 8 January 2019 saying she had a missed call from me, a call I never made. I now suspect these vermin have started to use my telephone number for their nuisance calls. In addition, yesterday, Wednesday January 10 2019 I had three missed calls from numbers I did not recognise. We were out at the time.The numbers were (03) 2874 6161, 012135589631, and 09092946, all numbers unknown to me. I have just called all three numbers and Optus, my provider, advised that all three numbers were either incomplete or incorrect. So much for the Do Not Call register.
