I answered and it was dead air. There was no-one at the other end.

Exactly the same happened to me just now. Answered it and no-one responded, then they hung up.

They just hang up when you answer. I've had several calls from them including missed calls. I never got these calls when I was with Optus. I switched to Telstra a month ago and I get nuissance calls from various numbers most days now. WTF.

Do not answer. Spam call!

Ringing work number at least 3-4 times a day, as soon as you answer with business greeting, they hang up. Have blocked them on mobile, but can't block landline.

Caller: Salesman selling LED LIghts

He said his name was Richard and caling from the VIC GOV installing free LED lights throughout the house. He said they were the latest and theey are not as i, IN ITech, said his specs were 5 yrs behind the times and i had the latest installed 3 yrs ago.

They say that they are from a company that works in conjunction with the Victorian Government to replace old light globes with LEDs. When I called them back, I heard a voice simply say "Goodbye." This seems like a scam.

tried to ring this number (03) 9118 7783 back but it was disconnected

Another of the unsolicited, frequent callers who can't be called back. The typical, pre-recorded "Good-bye" message is the only greeting you get when you call them back.
