Caller: Scam Call Just had a female call me from what sounded like a very noisy call centre. She claimed to be from Telstra and was offering me a 30 percent discount but needed my full name, date of birth, etc. As I was in front of my laptop, I searched the phone number she was calling from, came up with this site, told her she's not from Telstra, and hung up. Seems they're running a lot of scams from this number!

Caller: Scammer pretending to be Telstra An Indian-sounding lady told me she was from Telstra, and I have a 30% discount offer but need to first give my full name. She had my first name but seemed like she was after more. I wonder if it came from a COVID sign-in from a cafe or something. Either way, I told her I didn't believe she was Telstra and hung up.

I've just had a call saying that someone has placed an order on my account and its to a different delivery address, and to cancel the order I would need to give my DOB. I just hung up.

Caller: Saying is Telstra Now they are trying to get you with the mesage "This is Telstra to inform you that your Internet connection will be cut off soon... Press 1 to disconnect or 2 to continue" ... presumably "2" will ask you to provide name address DOB and any other data that they can exploit. WARNING THIS IS SCAM....

Caller: Julia She pretended to be Optus, I knew immediately it’s a scam call which they ask for personal details and credit card. Please don’t fall for this scam it’s pretty obvious they all relay thru a Melbourne number but are usually based in Hyderabad India. Wish we had a police unit in Australia to trace these people. Well documented in YouTube unfortunately it still works. Please people never ever give out personal or financial details to a stranger no matter who they say they are, always call a company back on the number listed on their website.

Caller: Woman Indian accent THESE PEOPLE ARE SERIOUS FRAUDSTERS! They tricked me into giving them my date of birth after telling me they were from Optus, they knew my name, my plan details and when my plan finished and said they were offering me an ongoing discount. They changed my contact details on my Optus account and suspended my text messages, they ordered a new iPhone. It's only that I got suspicious moments after the call and called Optus to check if they were legitimate that the order was stopped and my account information repaired and new passwords put in place. I don't know the level of detail they now have of me and whether I'll fall victim to further identity fraud. BE CAREFUL, VICTORIA POLICE IS SEEKING THESE SCAMMERS!

A lady claimed to be calling from Vodafone and said I have won a iPhone 12. No charges whatsoever for the phone but she started the process by asking for my Vodafone account PIN number and that just sounded too good to be true
