Called several times, indecipherable caller. Call disconnects on call call after 1 ring

Called and not talked and then hang, block the number now. Why there so many this type of phone calls and could not be blocked by services provider after so many complaint?

Daily calls, sometimes more frequent, sometimes less.
Always hang up after answering.
Just once caller used my not well known "Legal first name", I did not acknowledge, but asked him to tell me who he was and he immediately hung-up.
Number is now blocked and any other number they try it from will also be blocked.

These Idiots have been calling me for 3 years asking for someone else when you explain they have the wrong person they still try to sell you their product.
3-4 times a week for 3 years . Am I unhappy absolutely! Researched about getting number banned but as my phone is a company phone they cant stop it.
Poor legislation. They are such a pain.

Scumbags calling constantly even while I'm at doctors with elderly parent greeted me with an incorrect name possibly to get me to say my real name just disgraceful. Have blocked this number. No scruples no respect. Am extremely angry

Called and Hung up seconds after I answer call. Have had a lot of calls like this this year, I believe some company uses this tactic to see if the phone numbers they use are valid, so they may call back and market you something at a later date

Calls and hangs up, like a robot.
There must be a record for whoever the number is registered to. Why can't these people be fined and banned?

Sorry guys, my brother's looking for some back door action. He's trying to remember the phone number for the local bang bus escort service but instead is ringing all of you.

You can call the federal police to report - they will supposedly investigate and action - no idea if they ever achieve this but,

Just leave them on the phone as long as possible so they stop annoying the next person. Pay Back!

Seem to be able to get around being blocked. Very annoying scammers. There must be something Telstra can do about this mob, surely?
