What's the point of being on the 'do not call register'? Nothing has changed it's exactly the same as before I went on the 'do not call register' it does nothing

I think this caller is a phone machine as a delay occured before a surprised Indian man started asking for me. I told him he had the wrong number. He refused to believe me, kept repeating my name so I hung up. He called straight back twice but I ignored the calls. My wife says to leave the phone off the hook and only respond to messages.

Definitely a scam. I played along for a while, but when I started asking logical questions that put a hole in the script, he got very angry with me, yelled at me to shut up multiple times and called me a b#*ch before hanging up.
No legitimate company would do that. Be safe people - don't fall for their BS.

Received a voice message of two Indians talking to each other in a call centre

Missed call x 2. No message left. Scammer

They call you and send you a voice mail link through sms. Do not click on voice mail link.

Person with an Indian accent started talking about electricity meters. I told him, "I'm sorry, I don't wish to talk to scammers" and hung up. Blocked the number

100% spam

Telstra advises suspected scam - 6 calls in 1 hour now blocked.

Did not answer call, no message left. The number is the same as others just the last two digits change. Blocked.

Definitely a scam, i'd suggest blocking the number. Don't know how to for android but for iphone just click on the info icon on the missed call and then 'Block this caller'

I just received a call from this number today. An indian man asking "is that ...mary]. Then i asked him "where are you calling from?" Then he just kept quiet. Then he turned off. Grrrrrr. He has nothing to do!!

Agree that they are a telemarketer for the Govt scheme, but I have all the items and have asked them to not call so many times and to remove my number, but no they keep calling. They are now a nuisance

Sick of Indian call center

Repeated calls from this number. I do not answer unknown numbers. From some of the other comments here, I beleive that I have dealt with them before. They're fine (Ok). Telemarketing type business, I believe are Australia base, likely in Melbourne VIC. They usually arrange subsidised (free to you) Government initiatives relating to making the state (VIC) more energy efficient. Such as replacement shower heads, exhaust fans, energy usage wifi device which connects to your Meter, so on and so forth. You are actually getting something for free.

scam call at 3pm on a saturday. Said they were from Victorian Energy retailer. Have I got my shower heads
