Just received a call - I asked how he obtained my information- stated an insurance company provided it to him however could not tell me which insurance company. He stated since the are an independent company working for the people they are eligible to this information- I stated that I work for an insurance company and that its actually illegal the way he has obtained my "sensitive information" He started getting all flustered and said he doesn't know because he doesn't order the information - I told him that I'll be investigating how he obtained my information and if it wasn't obtained legally I will be suing him. He disconnected the call. English accent- sounded slow in the head.

Scam Call. Guy with English Accent. From 'Consumer Advisory Service' checking on my level of satisfaction with my insurance company after a car accident. I have not had car accident. I asked who he worked for, and what the rego was of car involved. He was a smart arse, speaking down to me when i queried the name of his company. A- hole

I suspected it was a scam and was asked if I was involved in an accident in the last 12 months. I suspected a scam and said no and he advised he would take my details off the register. A scam.

A scam mob in good standing with their Telco who will not be stopped until they don't pay a bill. Don't respond to them if you can, block their number do so. If you engage with them they will either take your money ID and more, or abuse you when you don't comply with their wishes. Unfortunately Ive tried to deal with these people in the past and have received no joy even from the Ombudsman (who in my belief just fobbed me off)

I didn't answer it. I don't know anyone in Melbourne, (03) so I thought it might be rubbish. Didn't call back after checking your site. Thanks, everyone.

The man spoke politely to tell me he was from "Instant Care Team" & that I may be eligible for compensation for a car accident I was involved in the last 12 months. I told him that I shouldn't be eligible due to myself not being injured in the car accident. He then ended the phone conversation politely. He wanted to know the date of the car accident which I didn't know off the top of my head & couldn't give it to him.

rang and asked about my recent car accident . question was it in last 12 months, was damage moderate or minor, was i in the car at the time. was my car repaired/replaced. lovely speaking Irish girl. I thought if they already knew about the "accident" I would give her some details about the event. I said my car was parked out at the airport and that thing dropped out of the sky onto my car. no i was not in the car at the time. and if she wanted more details just to read about it in the newspaper. she thanked me for my time and said a member of their legal team might contact me for more information. so I said thank you and goodbye. PS my car is perfect - no accident.
