Yes got the phone call from this number. Identified himself as Alex from Telstra with an Indian or Pakistani accent. The call was about to help us for our slow internet connection which actually our internet provider is not Telstra. "Yes mum but Telstra is the mother company". He thinks I didn't know Telstra.

Had three of these calls on the last week, claiming to be from our Internet Provider. Paki 'Phil' claimed our PC's were sending our errors. When I asked 'Phil' what our account name and number was, he said our last name. I told him anyone can get our name from the phone book. I asked him again what the account name was under and our account number and he kept claiming he was from our IP Technical Dept. Told him I knew he was not from our IP and that he was a scammer. He eventually hung up and I rang our IP Fraud Dept who are building a case. The Dept said we can also call Scam Watch on 1300 795 995 for other future scam calls and to Never give these Scammers ANY info.

Keep getting calls from this number asking if I have a computer and that they're Telstra, when I told the guy that boyfriend works for Telstra and where was he based, he lied and gave a dodgy address in North Sydney. I then said I needed his D number before I tell him anything, surprise surprise he hung up!

I got a call from this number, claiming to be from the Microsoft help desk. When they told me to do something on my computer, the didn't know what operating system I was using. Surely the Microsoft help desk would know that?
Also, they tried to get me to go to a url that was hosted on webs.com, which is a free hosting service to make your own website. Their url said 'themicrosoft' instead of 'microsoft'.
Yeah, so I'm pretty sure they're a scam.

yes, I get the same calls saying they are from Microsoft and want to help me solve my computer problems. I assume they ask you to change something on your computer settings to cause it to have faults and then they offer to sell you a program to fix the faults, the ones they have created. they say they are phoning form 66 Albert St South Melbourne and they are Microsoft. A Google search tells me Microsoft is not at this site. There was a lot of echo in the line and the accents gave me the feeling they were phoning form India but the number is a local Melbourne number

This is a scam. They did an international transfer of $1022 to India. Claimed to be from Microsoft support. Said I had lots of errors on my computer and to fix would cost $10. But they somehow hacked into my online bank account and transferred money to India. SCAM SCAM SCAM.
