One of those stupid recorded messages in poor Americanised English stating something like "opening a law suit against you and if you don't respond to our call we will come and arrest you"!

Recorded computerised message saying there is a law suit case being filed under my name and to call back. Saying an arrest warrant would be issued if I didn't call back.

Got the same thing! I mean how stupid do they think people are to fall on that kind of tactics!

Automatic message said this is from ATO and if you dont ring back will arrest you. scammers.

This is a scam number. They claimed tax problem but I called ATO direct and was told it was a scam. DON'T CALL BACK!

if you dont call back we will have to get an arrest warrant and have you arrested

I had the same thing happen to me today also. Claiming they were from the ATO.
2 hours later I got a call from my bank stating my information at the ASIC was incorrect. Truly a strange coincidence. Or perhaps a fault in the ASIC-bank network.

"Under investigation for tax fraud. Call us back on provided number"
