Some sort of call centre keep ringing my mobile phone. I blocked them yesterday but another call came today. Hopefully 'reject call' works this time.

I have been told that they are just calling to check it is an active phone number. So when you answer and they hang up that is all the confirmation they need to then go on and sell your phone number.

Not 100% sure, but this is what someone who I know working in data collection told me.

how do these scabs get your phone number 99%of them are scammers ?

Apple Marketing uses a more than 2 or 3 different numbers to get you

They have machines that call every possible number combination until they get an active number. Then keep calling those active numbers. They don't have to get numbers from anywhere.

So annoying we have our own charities!

Why do they call as soon as the call is answered, whoever it is hangs up?? nuisance and annoying as my number is private??

These pests are persistent. The number's been blocked for at least two years so no one has ever answered, but still they try, again and again and again. Leave people alone, for heaven's sake.

Called and asked if we would collect money for them. They would send a box of paper work of how to collect. Said they were collecting for people in need. Wife said no, but I wondered if it was in connection with the Bush fires and they were trying to make money out of that.

Good luck with that. I went on to their website, downloaded and filled out a do-not-call form, and sent it back to them. That was months ago, yet the calls keep coming. My belief is that once they have your number in their system, 'nothing is going to stop them calling. Probably quite illegal, but no-one cares. Not even government legislation seems to deter them.

They still call you even when you already have blocked them. They are very nuisance and annoying bugger piece of crap.

Definitely frauds posing as a legitimate charity. f*ckin' Indy scammers posing as Apple Marketing agents.

This pest of a charity fundraiser uses different telephone numbers. It's a parasitic leech sponging off donations. It's got paid CEO and telemarketers getting a percentage of donations they manage to collect.

Now and again i check them here. This number seems to pop up regularly.
Judging from the comments here they have a lot of time to waste.

I dont answer calls i dont recognise the number - but they leave a mesaage for you with your name sounds like they know you - its a trap !!

just got a call from this charity thanks to this site ive blocked them.

If you buy raffle tickets, these guys will call you almost daily to get you to buy again. I bought raffle tickets for Seeing Eye Dogs Australia and now they won’t stop calling. Have blocked some numbers they all begin with 9006.
