These are clowns who claim they are from Telstra.
I've just given them a caller ID "Telstra Spammers" so I don't waste my time answering anymore.
I've told them NOT to call back - but they do anyway.
What's the point of a "Do Not Call Register" by the ACMA if businesses can't use it??
We get 6 calls a day from Telco's wanting to churn us to some other network. What a waste of time!

Can't believe it... after asking them to take me off their list, they still called me today then hung up. Funny thing now is I am trying to call that number and it only disconnects me!

These wretches phone my mobile every day, at varying times, but there is never a sound at the other end. Sometimes its twice a day, and of course, usually when Im in a meeting !.

Having seen the other comments that they are a phone marketer, it falls into place !!!

They call and confirm your company name then say they are calling about the Telstra landline account... As soon as I said please take my number off your database he abruptly hung up!

Tim

Just had a call (not the first) from Amy saying she is with the Wholesale Division on the Telstra Network, and could she speak to the account holder.
When I asked who she represented she hurriedly repeated the above. I asked was she calling from Telstra? She fudged the answer and hung up upon realising that I wanted to know who she worked for.
Very rude. Why doesn't Telstra do someting?

Jessica

I had the same thing happen this morning.  A girl rang up and when I aid i didn't recognise the number she quoted she hung up in my ear.  I tried to ring back to abuse her but it is engaged.

Rob

This company phones me 3-6 times er day claiming to save me money on my telstra business line (Im not with telstra). When I tell them the number they are calling me on is from skype, they call me a liar. When I tell them I only pay $40 a year they again call me a liar. On one call they offered to beat the price and give me $30 a year, and when I called thier bluff they laughed and hung up on me. During each conversation I always ask for the reps name, managers name (both have varied multiple times during a single conversation). When asking for thier company name Ive been given "lines and network of telstra", "telstra netwok" "telstra wholesale devision" "aus telco" "telco australia" "telecom australia" and "yoyo telecom". When asking for thier website ive been given austelco.com.au and yoyotelecom.com.au. When I ask for thier customer care number, they have refused vigorously to provide it telling me its for existing customers only, but one "manager" "allan" gave me a phone number which I attempted to varify while I was on the phone to him which turned out to be blackwell funerals. When I asked for thier registered address they first gave me 100 brunswick st perth victoria, then later said western australia (I foubd this is a residential street that doesnt go up to 100). Ive asked for thier abn or acn and have always refused to provide it. They always hang up the second I mention ACMA policy breaches, or illigal misrepresentation. They are engaged by default, but sometimes the call will go thru, but only to clicking noises, never a person.
The company isnt very big, posibly 2-4 people, its the same voice every time, and when you listen to the background conversations you can only ever hear a single voice. Sometimes the "manager" is the same person
6 calls every day!!! Something is verru wrong here!
