Caller: claimed to be Origin eanergy

Wanted to verify the account persons name, then advised that the call is monitored etc... and needed to ask some security questions. Seemed weird so I hung up.Funny how they seem to find you but impossible to talk to someone when there is an issue to be sorted with an account!

Not a scam - legit. I had enquired about pricing last week and they told me they would check in with me a week later - hence a call back today.

This is a scam. Knows some details, but it is a scam have checked with energy provider

I was called at 11:10am on 16/4/2021. I did not answer as it was not a number from my contact list. I am an Origin customer.

Claiming to be origin regarding solar power

Caller: Origin Energy

Called stating that I had made enquiries about solar elec. I hadn't so they thanked me and hung up. It was a friendly sounding Aussie girl who called. Maybe Origin just scanning for possible solar installation work.

Phishing for personal information.
Said they were from Origin and needed to confirm my postal address.
I didn't answer and just hung up. They didn't call back.
I called Origin directly from google and they didn't have this number on their files.
They thought it sounded odd.
Seems like a scam to me.

Definitely a scam. The scammer said my energy supply was being disconnected, than asked me to "verify" my identity. Called the actual number on origin website and they said my account was fine and they haven't called me.
