Called me all chirpy and happy and then when I said I was busy he said that he would quickly ask a few questions and let me get back to it. He then said 'do you have insurance with anyone'....I said 'I have nothing to do with your company so I'm not answering that question.....goodbye'.

Next time I'll just leave him on hold, they are only allowed a certain time for calls so while they are only trying to do a job I'll make them go over their allowed time.

I asked the caller if the call was marketing. He was very hard to understand. He started giving his spiel, then gave up and said he would let me go. Poor guy, I almost felt sorry for him :-)

These calls are just plan *hit, no doubt their phone service provide gives them a great deal on their calls so they can annoy us. The Telco's & the T/O is where we should be complaining.

Ask the caller for their name, company they represent, and their ID or login ID, tell them to take you off of their calling database, that you've recorder the demand to do so, and if they persist then you'll lodge a formal complaint with the TIO. Easy. No yelling, no swearing, just polite. Honey catches more flies than vinegar!!
