I seem to remember doing something similar, once I realised they wanted all this extra stuff I just clicked x out of there and didn't complete - it seems they automatically clicked yes to everything for me because I'm suddenly being swamped with calls and texts from companies I have no interest in. I'm no longer answering because of them and have changed my voice mail message to one telling them to stop calling me. I picked up one this afternoon and really yelled at him because I'm pretting really ticked off!! Now I'm letting my recorded message do it for me.

I have been regularly bombarded with spam/telemarketing/charity trolls on my (silent number/do not call registered) landline. However, after savagely abusing every one of them who has rung me, they have (for the time being at least) desisted from calling. However, over the past week I have been subjected to a constant bombardment of spam/trolls etc on my cell phone. I have no idea why this has started, but the trolling began when I received several "Private Number" calls from an Asian accented woman who claimed to be from Telstra, and saying that "I owed them over $1,000, which is total dross. I have downloaded an awesome blocking app which is picking up and blocking all these troll calls, including (03) 8744 7632. I'm reporting this number as, although I have not and will no answer these calls, I want other users to be awake up to these scum. PLEEZE Mr Communications Minister, ENACT LEGISLATION WHICH WILL PENALISE THESE TROLLS HEAVILY. How dare they scam/troll legitimate phone users constantly. I'm seriously angry.

I had the same thing today - sounded legit, nearly fell for it. I am always usually so wary of anything free. Called Nespresso & they have never heard of the 'giveaway'. Good to read your comments on here, confirmed for me that it is definitely a scam - thankyou!

I entered a competition half way and got out, but my mobile seems to be with this telemarketing group. 3 calls today. I mentioned that I was not interested, but they keep on calling.

Same here - I have threatened them with Privacy legal action. Wish I knew who collected my info! Not happy at all! In fact, I am quite rude to them when they ring, even though it is not their fault...
