This number rang my landline then my mobile but left no message. When I rang back the number was not connected. I'm on the DO NOT CALL REGISTER but it's totally useless and makes no difference to illegitimate callers. Surely there's a technological fix to alternatively deal with these scary & nuisance calls.

I answered & there was nothing. No response. Not even a computerized voice. Within 3 minutes they rang again. Number blocked now.

What's the point of the DO NOT CALL REGISTER when we constantly get these scary illegitimate and nuisance callers, who never leave a message.
