Caller: NBN service provider

I answered this call. It was Nicole with a recorded message...stating that NBN is in my area and if l don't respond immediately, my services will be disconnected. This is an old scam making it's way around Australia. I answered my Mum's phone with the same scam. What's scary is that the number appears to be a legitimate Melbourne landline with an Australian accent.

Caller: Claimed to be Service Australia

VIC number that reads as from Dandenong. Automated voiced that said that my access would be terminated if I don't take action. But I cut the call off.

Caller: Man with heavy Indian accent

Said that his name was Jack Williams and he was with Telstra. He said that there was a problem with my Internet and they were getting reports of the problem he wanted to sort it out for me. I asked for the number so that I could call him back
Clearly, this is a scam.

A pleasant woman called "Lisa", with an Indian accent, rang from "Telstra" to tell me that many people in my area were supposedly hacking into my email. I told her that Telstra is not my internet provider, but she replied that Telstra is the actual supplier of all internet service.
She then asked me to press Windows button-R, which is to run a program, and she would be able to demonstrate the work of the hackers this way.
At this point I stopped, asked for her number, ID and department and said I'd ring back. She was very pleasant through all of this, and I was almost convinced she was legit.
I then rang the direct Telstra line (instead of the number she gave me - 8675 5636), and spoke to someone I was sure was from Telstra. I was informed that Telstra would never contact a non-customer in this way, and only contacts its customers through email and SMS.
In conclusion, this operation is getting quite good, but don't be fooled! I'm relieved I didn't provide any information, not even my name.

Recorded message, had a number of these calls - nuisance calls.

I have had many calls from this number but they never leave a message. Must be a scammer. I never answer my home phone any more as there is just to many scam callers these days. If it is a legit caller they will leave a message.

Yes, the same, had a call from this number and it hung up, two days later, a recorded message about the NBN and press one to speak to a technician. Now had a phone call from this number each day so far with it hanging up after picking up. Annoying and this is to a business that's got better things to do than answer scamming phone calls.

Called 3 times, when I picked up the other end just hung up.

they just keep ringing and it goes through to an international voice saying we have a problem with our phone and NBN....which we do not.

Has rung twice - answer it, nothing then busy signal.

Recorded message to say NBN in my area & internet going to be cut off. Press "1" to speak to a technician. Scam

Scammer calls with pre-recorded message pretending to be from NBN, saying they will disconnect you in 24 hours. I called back for a bit of fun but he was on another call and it just goes straight to his voicemail.

Silence and hangs up within seconds of taking the call.

saying they are from NAB which is a total lie, cannot even speak English properly

Have called me twice and forces to answer his questions and when said no, started swearing and made judgements on personal level.
