Everyone on here is just nasty I didn't realise the number as I missed it and get a lot of calls from telemarketers but this is open universities Australia who offer the best courses I know they had my number because I've been studying a free course on Open2Study they're very helpful and aren't pushy at all unless you gave them your number that's the only way they'll call. It's not a telemarketer at all ya bloody muppets

They get your number if you are an existing student, or if you download a brochure (because they force you to enter a phone number). They then harass and harass you. They get commission if they can enrol you.

This is for online study. Perhaps you are deaf; perhaps you have anxiety related to being on campus; perhaps many things. They don't give a crap. They want their commission, so they will ring and ring and ring and demand that you make decisions in real time instead of mulling it over in front of your computer with all the information available.

Well I mean, if you entered your number on their website, you're indicating that you'd like contact from them...

Had to leave my number on their site to download a brochure. Now receiving regular calls even after answering the first ones and stating I was no longer interested in enrolment.

How about they leave a message identifying themselves?

If you didn't want them to call you, why did you give them your number?

Spam simply because I had to provide my number to download a brochure. RMIT now lost me as student ($100,000 degree) because of this spamming.

To the previous poster who says "if you leave your number with them, you're indicating that you want a call back" - incorrect. In order to download a course handbook from this site, I had to enter name, phone number and email address. Within an hour I had a phone call.

It is Open Universities, which is fine, however calling three times in one day is highly inappropriate.

I never indicated wanting a call from the university, now they have been calling multiple times a day every day since I entered my number on that website.
