I suspect they use some kind of machine to do mass calls. If you say "hello", it will notify them that someone has answered & is on the line. If you don't say anything, it doesn't know that the call was answered. Only mass marketers have these machines.

They have been calling me every morning and arvo and right as I’m trying to dish up tea at 6 . I ignore them pretty sure it’s agl I don’t speak with them unless I call them is changing power companies and as soon as the we’re told I’m getting all these calls

Called me today. I didn't answer, searched online and landed here... I recently changed over to AGL so I called the number back and got a recording saying thanks for calling AGL anytime, and goes through to speak to someone, I just hung up. Ahh well..

Missed call, no voicemail. Instead sends a dodgy MMS (deleted). Annoying.

If you get notifications that you received a call, put it in spam numbers. No more problems

No point changing your number. Businesses buy databases from websites who take your details. Check website privacy policies before entering your phone number :)

they called 3 times in a row because i answered and didnt say anything, just waited for them to, they didnt say anything and hung up

"AGL gas" trying to sell some scam. Asked them to remove me from their call list. Apparently provided my information by a company called "Bizz starter". This same lady has called before and I asked her to remove me then as-well. Probably not done. Very rude and hung up before confirming she had removed my details.

I have blocked them after looking up the number here and they are calling me every day. I don't care but they don't seem to want to give up. Might give my service provider a call and see if they can do something.
