continually receiving calls from this number. The first time I advised I did not wish to be called. On answering they hang up straight away, yet they don't answer when calls are returned. My mobile is unlisted and this is a gross invasion of my privacy.

This number also calls mobile phones during business hours (don't pick up calls from unknown numbers) however when 8523 9459 is immediately phoned back there is no answer and no voicemail - this is suspicious during business hours.

just got a call from them asking what energy provider i was with, they said their company were calling on behalf of energy australia and that they needed to update my details, i gave them my new adress and they asked for my medicare# or drivers licence to "verify" my ID. Energy australia doesn't have either of these sets of details and I refused to give it to them. they hung up shortly after that.

Just happened to me. 2:23 pm 16 Nov 2012. After reading these posts have saved to contacts as "Junk Call" and will ignore in future.

Just got a call from this number too...lady was rude and asked if i was with energy australia, i said i wasnt and she said thanks and hung up.....very strange!

Got call from this number asking for private details (address, employer, etc). Recognised callers voice! Its Seamus "Shameless" O'Conchannon from GE Money, with a fake cockney accent and dumbest cover story I ever heard. Notorious con artist. Anyone getting calls from here should call police immediately.

Just had a call on my mobile asking for my husband by name. When I said he wasn't available and could I assist, the female hung up! If someone was genuinely wanting to contact my husband, they would have his number not mine!?!?....

They keep calling me and hang up when I answered. Annoying.

I am sick of getting missed calls from these people. Is there a way I can block their number?

Makes me wonder if they're calling random numbers to work out who's got an active phone??

Get called roughly twice a week. Most of the time they hang up on you. When they do talk, they want my name(don't they have that), personal details, licence numbers, cc details etc for verification of account details for a mysterious account I do not have with them! And then! they call back again when I told them to piss off the previous time I spoke with them like it never happened lol.

Sounds like a scam to take your personal details. Maybe the police should be involved.

I would strongly encourage everyone to submit a complaint to the Energy Ombudsman. I have just done so and will continue to do so every time they call. This is a very rude and unprofessional way to do business. Each time I call I request that my number be removed but they just hang up.

Don't take up any offer from them, they also don't give you accurate information and say anything to churn your energy account over.
