This is a lead generation company by the name of Apples and Oranges Marketing Pty Ltd (ACN 607134850) http://applesandoranges.marketing.

They retrieve your details when you fill out surveys online, and then try and arrange an appointment with the homeowner to try and use up some of the equity in the family home to invest.

If you read the fineprint, you basically opt in to receiving these calls by filling out the survey. This completely bypasses the Do Not Call Register, as you have agreed to accept these calls. There is nothing illegal about what they are doing.

If you do not want these calls, do not fill out surveys.

If they call you, politely ask if you may be removed and they will be required to comply.

I called the number back - spoke to a real person - yup - she told me "important tax info" told her that I wasn't interested and take me off their list. Apparently they will but will have to call me back and to ignore the call - sounds dodgy to me. I also told them if I get anymore calls I will be making an official complaint.

These guys called me to talk about how I could use my tax dollars to pay off my mortgage (am sure the ATO would have something to say about that!). Started reeling off the details they had for me, and postcode, age and email address were completely wrong. I reckon they're buying junk marketing lists and cold calling. I'm on the Do Not Call Register, and I've reported them.

I was at work when they called I told them to call back after work but I wont be answering the call lol

After an online survey for IKEA, they kept calling my mobile. They are telemarketers about tax incentives. The guy I spoke to took me off their call list.

I don't participate in surveys, I think they're rubbish; however I'm still getting calls from them while also being on the do no call register.
Your comment is useful and explains why many people get the call, however please don't lump it out as though they are not also taking information from third parties - they very clearly are.

Had a call 2 months ago from this number and now again today. Sounds familiar with regards to the "important tax information". I seem to recall the first call resulted in me advising that I wasn't interested and the woman sounded quite put out! Blocking the number again now.

Enough information above for me (after receiving 2 calls with no one acknowlding after I pick up) to block this caller on my phone so I don't get calls from them anymore.
