Call from NAB Card Security in regards to a suspicious transaction on my VISA Card. Asked if the attempt was actually me. A++ for NAB

My partner got a call, but I am into Cyber-security and could find this is SPAM.

Caller: NAB apparently

Had a call from this number today. He said that he is from NAB and that he needs to confirm some details with me. I told him that I am 2 min from the branch and that I will talk to them instead to someone on the phone. I showed the girl who worked in NAB the phone number if she recognize it and she said NO. I called the number back and it was from NAB. Long story short she said it might have been (the call from this number) because I haven't used it for a while (over six months) and that my account was frozen or something. Long story short, dont trust some random number and dont provide any details! Call them back if you want to check, but I prefer to go to the bank and talk to them in person.

This is not NAB or any other bank, nor is it a super fund , it Debt collectors telling lies to try and get you to confirm your details (ITS A TRAP).

Interesting to see positive and negative comments. I also got this call, but I do not have a NAB account, so why would they ring me????
I just say take care and check it out properly.

thought it was spam call to start with but they identified a few failed credit card transactions that I had done in the last 2 hours on my eftpos machine with an exact amount. they called to verify if it was a legit transaction or to open my eyes to maybe a fraudulent activity. but it was all ok just the problem with the card limit form a regular customer.
so all legit for this phone call.
