I received a call from this number yesterday saying that I had a yellow flag on my name, and mail they had been sending me had been returned to them, and if I didn't call back, I would have a warrant out for my arrest for tax evasion.
I called back, it was an Indian sounding man, and he straight up asked me for my tax file number. He gave me fake details on his id number etc, and when I questioned him, he hung up the phone. then called the tax department and let them know, they said there is nothing against my name at all, which I already knew. but how dare he?>

Received a call yesterday. Automated msg left about being me being delinquent in tax and threatening court action/jail. Called them back. Said he was from the ATO audit office. He had an accent. I didn't provide any information. Called the ATO who confirmed it was a scam

I received a call from this number today and it was a recorded message stating that I had not paid tax and that all mail had been returned to sender and that a warrant will be placed against me. This call and the person doing this is fake and a scammer. He is going through peoples business details etc and then trying to get money out of them via YOUR TAX file number. DO NOT REPLY.

I just received the same automated call with the same nasty message - yellow flag, warrant for arrest, etc. This is definitely a scam. Agree with Craig above - any mail would certified and I received no notification of it.

I received the same message today and am now going to BLOCK this Number as I to also don't have any tax issues against my name. Best set is to Block the Number.

I have received a message from the above number regarding tax avoidance and if I don't call back they will issue a possible warrant for my arrest. What an arsehole - I am retired and on a pension allowance - scam behind believe!!!!

I have Mr Number who blocks these type of calls however a message was left saying that i had a possible warrant for my arrest!

Got an automated voice call from this number,exactly as the previous complaint. didn't want to waste time calling the number.cant understand why such way of earning money ,,,, idiots... karma such take over.

Missed a call on my phone today. There was a message saying I had responded to calls or mail at my registered address, and that I needed to call back before a court hearing was filed against me regarding tax evasion. Sounds dodgy to me. I called called (ready to grill them) no answer - just an automated service suggesting I leave a message - NO business or department name mentioned. Sounds very suspicious to me.....

Oh my goodness, when i read lisa's msg It was exactly the same thing. I had a missed call then an audio message was left and this robot was telling me i was gonna have a warrant out for my arrest for tax evasion. I knew it was a scam straight away. So pathetic, can't stand people that try and get peoples info. JUST GIVE IT UP

I just received a call from this number saying the same things (which I know are untrue).
Rang back, but no answer. Have now blocked number.
I'll call ATO later and advise them of this caller.

Apparently I'm a tax avoider an am about to be put in jail.

Yeah right , my tax accountant says Im paying too much tax. Scare scaming at its worst.
