Same as all other people here, applied for a free credit report two days ago. Now have had a call from this group. No one speaks when I pick up the call though. The only reason i had to order a free report in the first place is because they made an error and refused to investigate unless I ordered a free report.

Applied for FREE credit history report - received cold call from VEDA using high pressure tactics to get me to purchase additional services.

Operator lied about needing additional information to identify me even though I had already verified my ID details online. I explained the reason I applied for the service was due to a company breaching my privacy and signing me up with VEDA as part of a compensation package. She couldn't get off the phone quick enough.

I applied for a Veda credit report a few days ago. The first call was clearly from overseas despite the number and hung up quickly. The second call; there was no one on the end of the phone.

Applied for a Veda Free Credit report and received a call from this number. They are trying to upsell a Premium Report at a cost. To answer quite a few people's queries, I have previously requested a report and they always do the same thing each time (trying to sell me a report) and even if you ignore the call you will receive a free report after 10 days. (This is a legal requirement). Note that Veda Advantage is a private company not a government department as some people have supposed.

Yes, got a missed call. Presume it's marketing spam from Veda, who I applied to for a free credit report a few days ago

I had a call from Veda earlier today they asked a few details after I requested my credit report online . Later in the day I had a call from this number and they hung up when I answered. I'm also annoyed and would chase them down the street if they rang my doorbell!

I too requested VEDA credit report and just received a call from this number - fortunately my call blocker (Mr Number) automatically sent it to SPAM and labelled it "telemarketer". Now I am wondering if I will received my credit report (via EMAIL as requested).

I had exactly the same experience with the same number after requesting a free credit report. They were trying to upsell me to a subscription. I do agree that it is good business practice to flog their products and services but as I was in no hurry to receive the credit report I turned down their offer, opting instead for their 10 day time frame

Applied for my free report Friday and call today from (03) 8256 6715. Answer and they hang up.

I called this number back and found it to be the marketing team of Veda in the Philippines. After requesting a supervisor, was transferred to a helpful lady (based in Sydney) who provided me a phone and email contact to be removed from all marketing.

phone: (02) 9278 7735 or send an email to: donotcontact @ veda.com.au

Just had the same symptoms as everyone else on this thread (found this site trying to identify the caller). I would assume the phone call + hangup is a loose form of verification. But that doesn't excuse the fact that being hung up on is bloody rude (sames as ringing the doorbell and running away) only makes me wonder what other little 'tricks' they are going to pull on me.
