Scam left msg referred to by name

Didn’t answer and Indian woman left some strange message i couldn’t understand so gathered it was a scam. Then checked here for confirmation

Caller: Wanker

I asked what it was about and he said "It doesn't matter. I asked you a question, don't ask me one". How rude. Hope he loses his job for not selling enough.

Thanks for the reporting this as I got same message left . So much noise in the background of Indian voices. Getting sick of all these useless scams from Indian call centers lately. There all scams . Be careful from one that says they are Pay Pal security alert. They are scamming your bank accounts whilst they have you on the phone.

missed call, and i accidently picked up second time, she said she's from the goverment to install the smart meter, she knows my name and my postcode, i think i got scammed i accidentally told her my details but told her someone will be home all the time. wait and see cameras ready

These calls are misrepresenting DELWP services. DELWP has requested each time these calls come through to try and get the company name details the caller is from, then write an email to veu @ esc.vic.gov.au to report the incident. DELWP is also struggling with these private companies with intimidating the general public as these companies are trying to access government funding.

Indian guy. Asked if I'd received a power monitoring device from the government.
I was called 'bastard' for not playing ball and falling for his ruse

Scam Call - BLOCK !!

Called at 9pm on a Wednesday. Left a long creepy voicemail just walking around and whistling

Caller: Strong Indian accent

Left a voicemail saying hello’s and f*ckoffffff . Never answer upon call

Wanted to discuss some power thing, knew my name. Said I was at work and couldn't discuss, they hung up. Called back about 2hrs later, blocked the number

This people called me numerous times. It is always Indian guy who speaks fluently, fast, but with heavy accent. Every time it goes like this: Did I receive some electricity meter device from Vic government, I say I didn.t, or I say I am not interested, or I say I have to ask mu husband, they tell me TOMORROW they'll be in my area and when will I be home to receive this device and explanation how to use it. I asked him how does he know my number and name, he says they got it from Australian database?! I asked how can I contact them if I am not at home at proposed time, they said they will give me a call if they don't find me at home. So, every single time (for the last 3 months approx.) it will be TOMORROW they are installing devices exactly in MY area. I also asked how come I didn't receive any written info from Government about this project, he said I can look it up on Google as "in home display device from Victorian Government" and I don't have to pay anything, it's all free! SCAM!!!

Had a missed call from this number at 8:47pm!!! No voicemail left.

Said his name was Daniel, and that he was calling from Mortgage & Financial Group in Parramatta Sydney, only his number area code was 03.
I said "What is the physical location of your office". He then said "Sorry I cannot provide you with that information". SCAM SCAM SCAM. They call me once every 6 months.

She knew my name and my postcode and said she was calling as a state government representative to install a Free electricity power monitor.
She wanted to know my address and what time I would be home for installation!! Total and complete scam!!!
They’re trying to find out when people r home?!
Do not engage! Sounds like a planned robbery.
