Accidentally answered the first call & after a small delay got massive background noise like a cheap call centre then a man with an "Indian" accent said something about an internet problem & I said bye & hung up. Since then getting 6 calls a day from this number all week with no message left. These fraud calls should be illegal.

Thanks to the comments above, i never answered. I never answer any number I do not know. I have recording not to leave a message as I don't monitor the vociemail on the landline.

I have has this number call me on/off for the last 3 weeks , usually in the afternoon about 3 Pm - 5 Pm or so and today , I got 3 calls from them all in a space of about 4 hours.

They have a Indian accent and say that they are from the "technical dept" of Telstra , which is crap as I don't have a Telstra internet connection.

All they want to do is to gain access to your PC to steal your IDs and personal details.

Anytime there is a long silence after you pick up the phone means that that the robo dialler is handing your call over to a scammer to talk to you and anytime a person says they are from a "technical department" is also a outright scammer.

Rang my home line and my mobile at exactly the same time, three times. Can't something be done to stop this bullsh*t????

Man with Indian accent said he was Alex from “the Telstra”. I knew it was scammers straight away as they’ve called before.
Him: “This is Alex from the Telstra. How are you?”
Me: “Fine”.
Him (louder): “This is Alex from the Telstra. How are you?”
Me: “Fine”.
Him (shouting): “LISTEN! THIS IS ALEX FROM THE TELSTRA. HOW ARE YOU?
I started laughing and he hung up. I don’t think he’ll have a stellar career in the scamming business.

Regular calls from this number. Damned nuisance and know it is a scam as there is a delay when I answer. I always hang up immediately.

Same old attempt to let aliens control my computer. I get at last one call a week from these bastards and Telstra just lets it happen.

Caller: Initial female person transferred me to George Adams - floor supervisor indian accent

Said she was from Telstra I asked to be transferred to supervisor, George Adams (aparently no relation to Tattersalls) and that my service was not secure and was downloading malicious files every time I went on the Internet - gave me a fake ISD number.

Fake call advising there is a problem with my internet service. I advised there is nothing wrong with my internet service and she promptly hung up

Caller: samuel wills with an indian accent

Said hew was from Telstra, and advised me that our internet connection is not secure and that they needed access to my computer to fix it. Total b s...they just keep on trying.

Caller: Scammer

Guy called Zak with Indian accent. Said he's Telstra tech department and he's not a scammer... Told me to go to my computer there's something wrong with my internet. I told him my internet isn't with telstra and nobody in Australia rings you and tells you to go to your computer. Asked for his manager and he said he is Kevin Brown and wasn't present to speak to me. I told him I'm reporting his number to the police.

He says he's from Telstra technical department - they've rung twice today and I challenged him about his intro, "no, no I'm not from Telstra, I'm from the Telstra technical department" - yeah right!!
