Another typical scam call. Getting them just about every day. Why isn’t something done about these scumbags?

Caller: It sounded like ‘Sumo’ or ‘AEMO’

I answered the call the second time, and she claimed to be from the electricity regulators and that she was calling to give me a refund.
She had an address that I’d lived at, but that I hadn’t been on the lease or on the electricity bill.
I told her to remove my number and not call or I’d report her company.
I was called back by a man a week later asking why I thought it was a scam. Insisting that it wasn’t a scam and that o was mistaken.
It was unsolicited, a scam and there’s a really long pause before the line clicks and then another pause before the call was answered by them - I suspect a machine.

No message. Obviously a scam.
Now blocked.

This number rang me at 18:52pm. I answered the call without saying anything and it was terminated at their end

Caller: “Benefit Team”

Had two calls from this number today with no voicemail. Number not on here yet, so I called back and spoke to a lady who said I’ve reached the “Benefit Team” which is a comparison site for electricity... yeh nah

Another telemarketing. Something to do with banks. Indian lady answered when I called back. Hung up shortly after.

Unsolicited call. Didn't answer but when I called back phone was answered by fast-speaking, heavily accented male who did not give company name and said "hello thanks for calling back! How are you doing today?". I suspect a scam/unsolicited marketing attempt. I hung up and have blocked this number
