Caller: NBN Suppllier Received two calls (two different numbers, the other being (03) 2824 2664) from an NBN supplier. Recorded message advising they have been trying to contact us urgently for two days as the NBN is coming to our area and if we do not press 1 to connect to their technical department, they will cut off our internet ... good luck with doing this lol. Out of interest, I pressed 1 and spoke with a technical person who thought he had a deal. I informed him that they were barking up the wrong tree as Telstra cannot advise us when the NBN is coming to our area and it probably won't be happening this side of 12 months. When I called this coming out for lying, he hung up ... now why I am surprised? I knew the call was a scam as Melbourne numbers do not start with 2 ... they couldn't even get that one right.
