G'day, it is my opinion that Password Marketing and Orologio are being operated as a scam. The sell cheap watches through Grays Online with vastly inflated RRprice..
They clain an international warranty but nobody internationally knows them. Orologio in US and another in Italy are nothing to do with Orologio in Australia and claim that Orologio Australia borrowed their name.
It seems that 2 of the 3 sites in US and Italy have large question marks against them. The Italian one for claiming to be a Swiss based site but probably actually based in Panama and reported to be a scam site and the NJ US has reports of bad workmanship and failing to respond to customers calls, (sound familiar).
Maybe no connection but it seems similar business ideals.
It is possible that the Australian Orologio watches are Chinese made as it seems are the Arbutus of New York watches also sold by Grays Online. I have sent many emails to Orologio support and made calls to Password Marketing. Never a reply.
I have asked questions from Grays online who reply with their standard boilerplate respone that they have your inquiry and will reply to you later within 24 hours.
They dont reply. my questions to them were how is the recommended retail price arrived at and in what form is the valuation of $2995 on the Monza series 18K rose gold plated watch.
They dont reply because there is not a solid, sustainable answer
Their support does not exist.
There is or was a brand just Orologio but it is not Orologio Australia. I believe that they could be good watches but only as any other cheap watch in the market place. The certainly are not what they claim they are and not in the high end watch league. Some may say they are fakes. Fake what? There is no International watch maker who claims Orologio as a brand name. Orologio is the Italian word for watch, clock or timepiece and it derives from the greek word horo meaning hour.
Rolex owns its name and if sombody other than Rolex produces a watch with a Rolex brand on it, it is a fake a piece of junk no matter how good. It is still junk because it is a fake and not Rolex. With Orologio it is not it seems copying an existing or even a pre existing brand so it is probably not a fake. It probably is still junk if you were silly enough to pay $2995 for a watch that sells online for around $100 to $200. At the online price it may be somewhat better than a $20 watch from Target. At Target you know what you are buying.
