Caller: They said Telstra
Scammer saying they are Telstra and when I said I couldn't hear them they said something along the line of I need to turn my computer off and than told me to F off.
Even before the operator spoke you could hear from the background noise that it was a call centre (probably all scammers). When 'she' started to speak, the line was so highly static/distorted that she hung up before I could. Caller: They said : Emergency Dept.
Assume scammer, said they were from emergency department (I'd just got out of hospital).
I said I couldn't understand them, just went silent.
"Hello, my name is Lisa and I'm calling from the [some department or other] of Telstra. We will be blocking your internet for the next 15 days. Did you know about that?" I said "Fine!". She hung up before I could string her along.
