I had a call to my landline that went to the answer machine as I was busy, no message left. Immediately after, my mobile rang, as I looked at the call number to see if I recognised it, the call dropped out, again without leaving a message. I have become very suspicious of spam/scam calls these days after a record 21 calls in 1 day.
If any calls are legitimate, then they would leave a message.
