Another attempt saying that they were calling from a research company. Do not trust this number.

Yes same number called me 3 times and I only answered the one call he had a strong pommy accent and wanted to know if I had insurance and this conversation was being recorder I told him that was personal and not interested then hung up. The very next call I made on my mobile to a friend had this screeching and back ground noise half way through our conversation didn’t really know what was going on and it cut out so I rang her back she didn’t really hear it only I could. On further research what the scammer is doing is linking your phone to a premium phone line for which we ends up paying a whopping bill so check your mobile, internet and landline account and anything else Just blocking them on your phone is not enough also contact your phone provider and inform them so you don’t have to pay the whopping bill that they are scamming from you

I had a call from this number that went silent. It sounded like a humbug call.

Also had various calls, now blocked on my phone. No voice message. Gutless scammers?

I called back number (02) 9634 7047 reached voice mail for a company called Martin and Hunt Pty Ltd.

Google the names mentioned here and you will see most of the answers are from this site. They do the 'we can reduce your tax bill by selling you real estate' con.

Called and never spoke

this is Martin &Hunt again - must be the 3rd state and they have called from - obviously a scam

Unknown number - sent call to voicemail - person *sighed* then hung up?!
