How about putting on an act, pretending to make a mistake and welcoming them as if the caller is someone calling to provide phone sex services?

Surely that would put them off! ;-)

Just had this call. He said his name was James and he was calling from the accident help line and they had a record that someone on this number had had an accident in the last 3 years. I said"what company are you calling for" he said the accident help line. I said fine but what company? he said, just tell me if you have had an accident involving a car in the last 3 years. I said, tell you what you give me your number and I will call you back. he said he is doing his job and has a responsibility to me, I said I understand that but I have a responsibility to my privacy. He said, just tell me you had and accident in the last 3 years. I said Just tell me your number so I can call you back. Then i pointed out that he rang me, the info I want he wont give and the info he wants I wont give "and that's where we are at"

My son was home yesterday as he was unwell. He said the phone had been ringing all day. When I checked, there were 7 calls from (02) 9361 2614, 3 from overseas and 1 private number that I answered and it was the Qantas scam call. I am fed up with these menaces, they are just an intrusion on our privacy. I too want to know how can the number when called back be not connected. Bizarre.

Conversation opened with caller (with heavy accent ) stating someone at this phone number had been involved in a car accident . I have had this call before . So my reply was that what they were doing was reprehensible and very upsetting to me .Then I told him to go away (using favourite Aussie slang) and not to ring again .

how do we stop this constant calling no one on phone

I have received a few calls today from a private number & from this number, I'm assuming it is the same person. They hung up when I answered.

Answered the call from 9361 2614 on our company phone after COB about 2 weeks ago. The Indian accented man asked had anyone had an accident in the last 3 years. I "led him on" saying yes, my husband had. He said "your husband is entitled to $1,500.00 for that accident", I said "oh great", sounding excited and asked how to get it, he said he would have to speak to my husband. I said he was not available but please give me your number and he will phone you back, he said "I will ring him at what time"? I said I was not sure but give me your number and he will ring you.............he hung up. I've found asking for their number always makes them hang up. Our office has had another 2 calls today.
The real worry is HOW IS THE CALLER ID # A SYDNEY PHONE NUMBER THAT IS NON EXISTENT??

Have some fun with them people......got this call today......told him that yes I had been in an accident and I lost both of my testicles.....

It went quite for 15 seconds when I said......"You think that's shocking, you should try living without testicles".

With that the call was terminated from his end :)

Same call. He said he'd remove me from his database. Not convinced, but hoping.

I just had the same thing happen, asking if anyone has had an accident, I hung up.

because I asked who he was ... and why he called me

they just called asking if we have had an accident in the last 3 years. When we said no the aked for our details and we told them no personal details would be given and hung up on them.

This number CONSTANTLY calling my work phone. Called the number back and it doesnt exist. Its obviously an overseas scam.

Can some stop this number from calling my number

is there something the authority can do to stop this number from calling non-stop, its annoying & its affecting my work.

Received a dozen calls today from this number - ringing up and dropping out straight away

Have had about 6 calls today. Its interupting my business. Had enough of it. They ring hang straight up or say nothing till i hang up on them. Ringing telstra.

Missed 2 calls from this number this morning - not really worried as after the first call I got onto this site to check the number as it is foreign to me and found out it's a scam. They rang a third time and I answered (wanting to have some fun) and I got Larry (with a heavy accent) asking if anyone on this number was injured in a car accident in last 3 years. I said yes, it was me. Gave me the speel about being entitled to compensation - I said "that's great, but it might be hard suing the other party" Larry - "Why?" Me, still with serious tone - "My car was hit by an elephant while holidaying overseas". Larry - "was it only you in the car?" Me - "Yes" Larry - "Did you die on the spot?" Me - "I wouldn't be talking to you if I had died on the spot, would I?" At this point in time, I lost it and burst out laughing, asked him to not call again as I knew this is a scam and hung up.

Got a call from an indian person saying that someone from this number had an accident in the last 3 years. I told him hehad the wrong number and asked what his company was. He hung up.
