A man called Brian claimed to be from Telstra and told me I had been hacked. He wanted me to tell him my IP address. I told him I can't do that. He became aggressive and said he was going to disconnect my internet and hung up

This person claimed to be a Telstra technician and wanted me to check my IP address, saying I was being hacked. I hung up and rang Telstra to confirm. They said it was a scam.

Scammer, Indian accent. A number of these sort of calls the last few days. I wish Telstra would deal with them.

Rang my home phone and said he was Peter from Telstra. Went on to say that a Mr Johnson had hacked my "landline". He then quoted an old address of mine and I told him he wasn't from Telstra because Telstra knows my address. I didn't let on it was my old address and so he went on to blame it on this Mr Johnson. He then wanted to know my current address which I refused to give him and told him if he WAS from Telstra, he would know my current address. When I told him this proved again that he wasn't from Telstra, he called me a f-----g idiot ... I then told him that that proved for a 3rd (or was it 4th) time he wasn't from Telstra as they wouldn't use language like that, he just kept calling me an effing idiot at which point I hung up on him.
